In a cottage, in a wood…

At the weekend, my partner and I decided to go walking along the disused railway line not too far from our home.  The line was closed in the 1960’s, along with thousands of miles of track across the UK.  Since then, this part of the old railway line has been turned into a country walk.  Part way along this route, we came across a derelict building.  When we returned home later that day, we did a little bit of research into the building and came to find that it used to be the Crossing Keeper’s Cottage…any way, I have posted it on here because it reminds me of a witches cottage, just glimpsed through the branches…it also reminds me of song we used to sing in school when I was very young…In a cottage, in a wood…
