A Winter Witch

I love the weather at this time of year.  I love the cold; the frost and especially the snow (when we get it).  I don’t think I could survive anywhere too warm or too sunny for a prolonged length of time; I just love the cold and the long, dark nights a little too much.

The past two mornings we have woken in my part of the world to very heavy frost, which has meant the world outside my window is sparkling and glimmering.  How enchanting!

You’re so lucky. We’ve had a warm last couple of days. No frost or cold for us 😦

What a lovey photos! I especially love the frost on the leaves of the plants. 🙂 I wish you lots of snow (if you don’t have it already), and temperatues below 0°C (I love cold too! :-)). We have quite a lot of snow here, and temperatures deep below freezing in the morning — it’s a true winter here. 😉
    Blessed be.

I am glad you like the photos. We had a little bit of snow where I live a few weeks ago, but then nothing but cold and frost. I do long for snow so much! 😦 The past two days as I said in the post, we had a really thick frost, but now the weather has warmed up (it’s about 7 degrees C here) and it’s raining! Brightest Blessing and I hope you enjoy the snow.

Your pictures are lovely! Though I have to say I’m the opposite as well! I need the sun and the warm breeze. This is my first winter in Europe (I come from South America) and it’s proven tricky! But it’s good to see the good side to it and try and feel how good and beautiful it also is 🙂
    Blessings and light!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I am pleased that you like the pictures. I can only imagine just how tricky the British weather is proving to be! 🙂 Brightest Blessings

Those are beautiful pictures. The frost is pretty from the safety of my monitor. I like the idea of frost and snow but don’t like it be freezing in it.

  5. Lovely photos Sammi, I’m now going to hide under the duvet and shiver. Brightest Blessings.

I like it as long as I am inside anddont need to go out at all, I am the complete opposite to you I don’t think it is possible to ever be too hot 😀

    • sammiwitch says:

Oh, a complete opposite! 🙂 There is definitely a too hot. There is something to be said about being inside though when outside is an ice rink 🙂 I am so clumsy and always twisting my ankle!

      • paulaacton says:

we have had nothing but freezing fog all day and some areas the snow began I keep glancing up out of the window expecting to see it coming down but really now it is so cold i think it will be morning before if can fall we are at minus 1 C at the minute

I love the winter nighttime sky–it is so much clearer and darker! I love the snow, too. The only thing I don’t like is the cold!

    • sammiwitch says:

Not liking the cold must make it quite difficult to enjoy snow :-)…The sky at this time of year is lovely…Brightest Blessings

I know! I like the snow itself–it is beautiful! I don’t like the cold it brings. I much prefer the autumn! But the sky makes winter all the more tolerable. 🙂 Blessed be!
