A Gift for the New Year

I felt moved this morning to do a tarot reading for an unknown sitter.  Having a few minutes to spare, I did the reading, which you can find below.  Does this reading speak to you?  Do you think this reading was meant for you?

So, to the reading (it is a general reading, focusing on the next three months)…

King of Wands indicates success at work, in the arts or in terms of a creative endeavour.  This success is driven by hard work and the determination to succeed, and so is well-earned and not a stroke of luck.  Enjoy the fruits of your labour, but don’t forget that you will have to return to work to ensure that this success, and all that comes with it, is maintained.

The Chariot was drawn reversed.  This might mean that although you feel like you need to be in control in (certain) situations, letting go and allowing said situation to evolve at will may in fact be more beneficial to you at this time.  Loss of control can make people panic; if this is you, try instead to focus on the sense of freedom this lack of control offers, and know that just because you are not ruling with iron fist to ensure that what you think should happen does, chaos will not necessarily reign.

Four of Pentacles indicates a time when stability and security – in terms of finances, work and the home – is approaching.  Although this will be welcome, do not expect the changes to be drastic at this time; where things are set to increase, it won’t be overwhelming, just comfortable.  It is also worth noting that there may also be an increase in responsibilities, duties or work load that accompanies this stability.  So remember, any improvements in circumstances have or will be earnt, and you will  have deserved them.

The Nine of Swords was drawn reversed.  This card is a blessing for those who have been suffering recently as it suggests that troubles and hard times are coming to an end for the time being, and you will feel that you can breathe comfortably again.  As with all challenges, the road was not easy and there were lesson to be learnt.  A revision of old or bad habits may be required, as well as taking the time to reassess certain areas of your life.

Princess of Cups  speaks of developments in the realms of the psychic, the intuitive and the creative. This card also suggests that happy news in terms of relationships is on its way.

Two of Wands indicates a fruitful partnership, equally balanced.  This partnership is focused in realms of work or creative endeavours and hobbies, where the responsibility and hard work, as well as the rewards are shared.  The partnership is strong, and a solid friendship, one that could potentially last a life time, may develop.
